carriage wheel house, blogged @ 2009-03-02 00:00:48

A small break from the pictures taken in Australia: this weekend I went on a phototrip to Willemstad, a town underneath Rotterdam, together with Sabine and Elger .

I'm not sure what the little house with the carriage wheels is called (there are more of them in Willemstad), so drop me a line if you do know :-)

Taking this picture I was incredibly focused on the line of the fence leading into the picture. In hindsight I would have liked to have more of the walkway/path on the left and have the arch/tunnel visible. Ah well...

  • So peaceful. We like the crop and do not think that adding more of the path would add anything to the frame. An idea for cropping would be to crop the handrail away from ending in the corner of the frame.

  • A stunning and beautiful picture. The tones and reflections are outstanding. Love how the black fence leads the eye through this image. Excellent composition!

  • I like the composition with the handrail going to the lower left and the wheel house on the right.
